It's been pretty cool so far, but the cars are confusing me. Well, cars and other items.
I was trying to figure out what time period this takes place in. At first I thought it was early to mid 90's. They're using mostly 80's and early 90's vehicles, but then there is a 2000's GMC with "one o dem Hemi's". Seriously, one of the characters said that about it. And the computers are all old CRT monitors, but then everybody has newish cell phones. So, I'm thinking it takes place in current day and that the GCPD is seriously underfunded.

It's one of those retro-modern settings. Like Archer.

Consider it like Batman: The Animated Series where it is clearly molded to look like the 1930s and yet there are quite a few modern elements to it.

I'm watching it and love it so far, even the cheesy go pro footage of Gordon running in the pilot. They are trying to throw you off with the period, as well as many other elements of the show. They think if they mess with the audience it will leave them curious which seems to have done the trick.
If I hadn't read about them doing this in interviews I'd be in the same boat.

I have read no interviews. This boat seems so big.
